TUTORING
@theorypleeb
TUTORING: Consider me a tour guide and accomplice in the fields of critical theory and philosophy. I'm no expert, but I have a lot of experience in finding answers to questions and for explaining things in multiple ways to make difficult concepts more accessible.
My main interests are in political philosophy, existentialism, phenomenology, gender and critical theory. If you don't know where to start, see the list at the bottom of this page where I have listed texts that I've worked with others on, ranked by order of difficulty. If you would like to read a book with me that is not on the list, we can talk about that. If you would prefer a series of discussions on a particular theme, say, a crash course in existentialism that works with you wherever you are already at, then let's talk about that as well. Basically the best bet is to just set up a short (free) consultation with me through email. We can figure out what works best that way.
PRICING: My prices are set by my availability and goals. It is simply an approximate calculation of my own capacities and the amount of timenergy and attention that I have available and am able to commit to each session. For each hour session I will have spent at least two hours that week preparing, not to mention the last seven years of research that I bring to the session. (Subject to change due to availability) $45 for a single session, $150 for a 6 part series.
